Granola Bars

These granola bars are amazing! My husband loves them. He usually takes the whole container to work so he can share. But this week (he started a new job this year and this is the first time I have made them in awhile) he only took one peice so he could brag about these delicious bars. He says he will take the container on Friday and share the rest! They are great because you can add whatever you want to make them your own. I want to try adding peanut butter the next time I make them.

Ingredients:
-          4 ½ cups rolled oats
-          1 cup flour
-          1 tsp baking soda
-          1 tsp vanilla
-          2/3 cup butter, softened
-          3/4 cup liquid honey
-          1/3 cup brown sugar
-          2 cups of additions (chocolate chips, nuts, raisins, dried fruit, etc.)

Directions:
  1. Mix oats, flour, baking soda, vanilla, butter, honey and sugar in a large bowl
  2. Stir in assorted additions
  3. Press mixture in a pan and bake for 18-20 minutes at 325oF
  4. Let cook completely and cut into bars
